PrismSlicer's industry-first, photorealistic preview feature allows you to see your models the way they will be coming out of the printer — but before you waste any time or material on a test print. The printer's voxel resolution and the resin's color and translucency are replicated exactly in the images, because they are based on a physically-accurate light simulation. Our team of researchers extensively verifies the accuracy of these previews against color-calibrated photographs of real printouts on a continuous basis.
The previews can be placed in a 360° environment which will change the background, and affect the lighting and reflections on the object. Place your object in any of the predefined background environments, download one from the internet, or provide your own HDRI in OpenEXR format. Outdoors at sunrise, indoors in a museum, workshop, or a photo-studio, amongst others are available.
Simulate different surface finishes (from rough-sanded to perfectly polished) that would be applied in a post-processing step and see how they affect the look. With a continuous surface roughness parameter you can simulate different polishing steps applied to your prints.
Waiting time is over: Quick visual feedback is provided on screen as soon as the pixels are ready from the renderer. No need to wait till the full simulation has finished to see an image, but it starts noisy and refines over time. At every update, you also see a denoised image that removes the un-appealing noise, and thus cuts down on the required simulation time. Stop whenever you are satisfies with the preview quality.
Mixing arbitrary resin colors has never been easier: In combination with our online color picker, you can find the mixing recipe for a specific color with ease — no more trial and error printing. Using this recipe in PrismSlicer, you can verify how your actual 3D model will come out in this resin mixture and make any adjustments (eg. more white (for opacity) or clear (for translucency)) confidently.
Combine multi-color 3D models into a single assembly and see how their colors interact with each other. Especially when parts are nested into each other, the color of the outer model can change based on the "background" the inner model provides depending on the resin's translucency. Already in the 3D modeling phase, or when splitting the models into multiple colours, you can take this into account with a quick preview.
In the Slice tab you can verify that the assemblies are correctly positioned into each other by scrolling through the slices in a 3D viewport and compare it to the meshes of its components.
